Maria Mae Abad, one of our Filipino nurses, died peacefully on Wednesday evening after a long fight against cancer. Pray for her, for her mother, family and friends who are saddened at her death.

Funeral arrangements:

Wednesday 5-00 pm Reception of the body into Church;

8 pm Vigil Mass, followed by Vigil of Prayer for Maria.

Thursday 9-15 am Funeral Mass. Please come and pray for Maria who served as a nurse in Oxford with great generosity of spirit.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES, WHEATLEY sale of “Father John’s presents” will take place after Mass on Sunday 23 Nov. As this is to raise money for the Building Fund, Irish Coffee will also be on sale.  Also Christmas Raffle will be launched and be drawn on Sunday 21 Dec. after Mass. Please note dates and bring spending money!

Enrolment for First Confession, First Holy Communion & Confirmation will take place on Sunday 14thDec at the 9-00 am Mass.

 

Didier Delaplace (a former parishioner) would like to thank all who prayed for him.  His ordination on 19 Oct. as a permanent deacon in Grenoble went extremely well.
